Spotlight on Sea Island

We interrupt this winter to bring you to a beachside resort with some serious southern charm. We’re daydreaming of The Cloister at Sea Island this time of year…almost as much as winning the mega million lottery jackpot. Although the odds of us finding ourselves at this resort are much better.

Located along 5 miles of private beach off the coast of Georgia, Sea Island is one of only two locations in the United States to receive the Forbes 5-star rating.

With endless activities for adults and children, the resort can be the perfect place for a family vacation or a couples getaway. You can wake up to gorgeous ocean views and spend you morning doing activities like golfing, playing tennis, or biking (to name a few) and finish your afternoon by relaxing on the beach or at the spa. This indoor pool looks particularly inviting this time of year.

If you’re lucky, you may even see some Loggerhead sea turtles as you walk down the beach…

The dining and shopping are also not to be missed. There are 10 restaurants on site ranging from a fine steakhouse to a pool-side food truck.  And (as you may have guessed) you will find Susan Shaw jewelry among the other treasures in their shops.

Susan Shaw seaglass pieces are new to the line this year!

You can be sure you will embrace this beach-chic look the moment you step onto the property.

We hope the hardest decision of your day is how to properly accessorize your caftan.

Is anyone else ready to trade in their wool scarf for this one below (designed by Lilly Pulitzer especially for The Cloister)!? So fabulous!!

Whether we have provided you with an inspiring idea for your next getaway or simply a quick mental vacation from your daily routine, we hope you enjoyed it!

Warm wishes!
